SPW COMPLEMENT THE PROGRAME ON 2008/09.
SPW:STUDENT PARTNERSHIP WORLD WIDE.
Student Partnership World wide (SPW) is a programme undergoing national wide. In Makete the programme was running at different primary and secondary school.
The main theme of SPW is creating awareness to student and community on HIV/AIDS and other related field.
For this year the programme commenced on March 2008.
On completion there was a community based sport at Bulongwa area which held on 14 aug 2008.During which the football match between Amani football club and Chipololo team taken place.
Chipolo polo team won the game and been awarded SPW shield, while Aman team was given a ball.
PIUMA staffs and local leaders of Bulongwa were all invited to to have a speech on that occasion.
Explaining to the mass the PIUMA clinical officer, expressed detail activity of the organization concentrating on voluntary testing, HBC, Health education on sexual transmitted infection (STI) and ABCs,
i.e. abstain, be faithful ,condom use.
Talking to the audience, SPW volunteer Jessmarie thanks the participants, local leaders and PIUMA for the support throughout the beginning of the programme at Bulongwa.

When I was in Makete I met Jassmeri a lady from Texas in the USA. We had a little talk; I shared my experience on HIV/AIDS with her filed in Makete District. I admired the young for her ambition to see that she is not only doing her work efficiently but she would make sure she has left some influence to young girls and boys around Bulongwa.
Today when I here the closing ceremony was held with a theme “Dance 4 Life” I ma cherished because I believe community, local government and NGO as PIUMA have benefited a lot from a bilateral relationships with SPW. The important thing here is to keep the benefit achieved from a one Year program by SPW glow.
