Civic Society Activities Exhibition

 

PIUMA delegate is among of invitees working in more than 400 Civic Society Organization in Tanzania participating in the activities exhibition in Dar es salaam.

 

The Exhibition is organized and sponsored by the Foundation for Civic Society will be concluded with a one day general meeting. The exhibition will bring together NGO, CBO and FBO from different parts of Tanzania.

 

PIUMA which has not received funds neither from the Foundation for Civic society nor from the government to implements it activities on the ground, it is also competing for the excellence award for the year 2007/08.

 

While explaining their strength, PIUMA founder and Chairman Kabuyu said,  the organization is unique for its ideology of making people living with HIV/AIDS the centre in the fight against HIV.

 

He further said through little resources they had they managed to run a number of intervention programs including care of the patients, voluntary testing, building their office and many other tangible project.

 

PIUMA has been a role mode in demonstrating how accountability and transparency mean. They have fought corruption and embezzlement at all sectors and levels.

 

While other NGO have been competing in attracting donors to invest into their projects, PIUMA is working hard into mobilizing people in the ground to realize their strength into fighting the pandemic.

 

In this exhibition PIUMA will be represented by the organization coordinator Juma Nzige and the executive committee member  Rehema Nyamule. The exhibition will run for three days consecutive from Tuesday of 25^th November to 28^th.
